You can also use carpets that are designed for high traffic areas to provide more protection against future damage.
Reinstalling Baseboards and Trim
When the new carpet you chose has been installed, the trim around the base of the floor is probably still missing and needs to be reinstalled. This is usually the baseboards but can include other door trim and moldings that come in contact with the floors. You can ask the installer if they can reinstall the baseboards or replace them yourself.
